Inky forest illustrations
Hi, I’m Simon and I draw the creatures, places and things that you’ve probably just seen.
My work tends to dwell on nostalgia and decay, influenced by the abandonment of briefly treasured technology and once-loved locations, with the 90s mostly in mind.
I draw in pen and ink, which takes time but is worth it for the satisfaction of tearing it up when it goes wrong, and usually then colour in digitally.
I sometimes draw and design for other people, bands and businesses too – if you have an idea that you think I could help with, I’d love to hear about it.
I work from my home in the suburbs of Nottingham, UK. When I’m not drawing (or doing all the other stuff that comes with it) I work as a graphic/multimedia designer, and when I’m not doing that I like to be outside exploring the woods or watching a cult-classic with my cauliflower-eared cat Waffle.
Thanks for looking and reading!
